Do you still remember Moomin? Moomin is a fat, tall, with white fur and hippo-like animal. He lives in a house built by his father and named Moomin House in Moomin village. This cartoon is one part of my memory when I was about 5 to 6 years. I think Moomin also growed along with a lot of people in their childhood.
It graduately disappeared in Hong Kong. It is not that common in the west as well. When I was studying in Scotland and London, I rarely heard about Moomin. I did see somesouvenirs in some small shops but it was quite hard to find though.
He is just one of my old friends and disappeared suddenly. So this morning I heard there is an exhibition of Moomin in Tsim Sha Tsui, I got there immediately after work, with an aim to see my old friend.
He is just as peaceful as usual. There are also many of his friends in the exhibition like the green boy Snufkin and Little My.
I like the decoration of the exhibition, which is a train alike. The first compartment is the driver’s cab, and the second is the room of Moomin’s father. Moomin’s father is ready to sleep on the bed in the compartment. Are they going to travel by train?
Well… I am really impressed by the gaze of Little My since I was still 5. It is quite sly… isn’t it? XD
